Swimming Courses

Learn-to-Swim

Parent and Child (6 months – 2 years old)

Introductory:
This parent participation class combines water safety and water adaptation skills with games and toys to prepare the child for instruction. If and when comfortable in water, the child will be gradually introduced to safety skills such as blowing bubbles, and pulling themselves out of the water.
*Max. 6 per class

Toddler (2 – 4 years old)

Introductory & Beginner:
This 2-level beginner class incorporates games and positive reinforcement for proper form instruction. Heavy emphasis is placed on teaching safety skills such as holding their breath, getting into and out of the pool unaided, and kicking.
*Max. 4 per class

Children (4 - 12 years old)

Beginner:
We offer 3 levels of beginner classes. Skills taught ranges from overcoming fear in the water, board kicking, proper breathing, to swimming half the length of the pool unaided. All steps are broken down for easy learning. Games and drills are also integrated by instructors, to ensure positive reinforcement and fun.
*Max. 6 per class

Intermediate:
Further safety skills such as jumps, water treading, surface diving and sculling are integrated at this level to combine with proper stroke techniques. Proper breathing is emphasized.
*Max. 6 per class

Advance:
Classes are designed for those interested in learning and/or perfecting any of the 4 advanced strokes. Students are grouped as closely as possible by age and ability, and always progress at their own pace.
*Max. 6 per class

Young Adult (13 – 16 years old)

Introductory & Beginner:
Grouped primarily by their swimming ability, this class allows young teens to progress individually, but at a faster pace than those designed for children. Classes are more theoretical oriented.
*Max. 6 per class

Adults (17 years old and beyond)

Beginners & Intermediate:
Our adult classes are small, personal and self-paced. Classes are designed to meet the individual needs of every adult – ranging from those who have had a life-long fear of water, those with the desire to learn proper breathing, to those wanting to perfect their stroke(s).
*Max. 8 per class
